Brussels Sprouts Ground Turkey Skillet is a healthy, flavorful one-pan meal featuring ground turkey, Brussels sprouts, and a blend of aromatic spices. It’s an easy, nutritious choice for busy weeknights, packed with protein and fiber to keep you full and satisfied.

  • 1lb / 500gr ground turkey
  • ½lb / 250gr Brussels sprouts
  • 1 onion
  • 23 garlic cloves
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried herbs
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Vegetables: Dice the onion, chop the garlic, and grate the carrot. Trim and quarter the Brussels sprouts.
  2. Cook the Ground Turkey: Heat olive oil in a skillet. Add the onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes, then add garlic and ground turkey. Cook for 6-8 minutes until the turkey is browned.
  3. Add Spices: Stir in the spices: cumin, cinnamon, paprika, salt, pepper, and dried herbs. Cook for another 2 minutes to blend the flavors.
  4. Cook the Brussels Sprouts: Add the grated carrot and Brussels sprouts to the skillet. Pour in ½ cup of water. Cover and cook for 18-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the Brussels sprouts are tender.
  5. Serve: Once the dish is ready, serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Feel free to adjust the spices to suit your taste. You can also substitute ground turkey with ground chicken or beef if preferred.
